New House Arrest Tool Being Used By Cities

In a strange reverse twist on high technology, some Canadian cities are trying out a brand new house arrest device. Rather than attaching a clumsy wireless transmitter to someone's leg for monitoring purposes, the crafty Canucks are attaching trained surveillance cats to convicted felons. Some of the kinks still to be worked out include keeping the cats from getting smushed when the convict sits down, and "tuna distraction".

Working Pets: Overworked and UnderPaid

In another striking example of how labor laws need modernizing, non-union pets are being exploited by greedy corporations. Due to the lack of any explicit legal provisions for minimum salary and overtime restrictions regarding working animals, companies have been using this loophole to take advantage of pets everywhere. This poor golden retriever, shown here on the way to work with his morning coffee, can't even afford pants!
